Do you want to make money?
Why? So you can pay off debt? So you can support yourself or your family? So you can live your dream?
If you’re wanting to make money it is because not having it is hindering you from achieving something or making your dreams, reality.
Do you hate the notion of… “you gotta have money to make money”? Yah? Me too!
Do you want to start a small business but need a little more cash than you’re willing to risk from your personal funds?
There are ways to make something out of nothing. To have minimal or low risk in something to start generating cash flow to help you get to where you want to be. And you don’t have to do it in an icky feeling type of way. You know, when you feel like you’re manipulating someone to buy something just for your gain, not to genuinely help them or not because it is a product that you genuinely love and want your consumer to experience.
Three Ways to Fund Your Small Biz
1. Start a Crowdfunding Campaign
This is done by gaining support from a large group of people that support you. There are three methods for crowdfunding:
+Donation based: no gain (return on investment) for investors
+Rewards based: incentives exchanged for monetary support
+Equity based: part ownership of the company exchanged for monetary support
Online, this can be done through platforms such as Kickstarter and GoFundMe - which highly encourage reward based crowdfunding.
You can also crowdfund locally by doing benefit events (an unrelated example would be benefit concerts to help a family pay large medical bills due to an illness such as cancer) or even a mail-order subscription [8 Ways to Make Your Crowdfunding Campaign Pop].
2. Create and Sell Digital Products
Create your own products digital products to sell online. You can create digital downloads such as printable wall art, ebooks, webinars, ecourses and the list goes on!

Anyone with a computer and online access can create printable downloads using Canva, PicMonkey or even Apple Pages via iCloud on your PC or MAC!
3. Sell Physical Products Through Drop Shippers or Fulfillment Centers
There are two ways you can sell physical products without actually keeping any inventory - or doing any of the dirty work.
First - you can create the artwork for a product and sell it on items such as tshirts, mugs, hats, phone covers and the like (see How to Create a Passive (physical) Side Hustle).
Or you can sell others’ products through drop shippers such as Doba.
For She Builds, I am funding this site by setting up shop on Etsy and Storenvy (both sites have marketplaces) selling both physical and digital products. For the physical products I create the artwork and then put them on shirts and coffee mugs using a direct to garment fulfillment company. In addition, I sell printable motivational quotes that can be instantly downloaded by the buyer once the item is paid for through Etsy.
